Looks okay. *shrug* I will believe it when I see it.

That doesn't look right. I'll probably wait til we get some official word with Google. Remember how many different "iPhones" and designs popped up before Jobs actually announced it? Exactly, Deja vu...

I went to the link.

That picture you see there is what they think it might look.

If you read article, nothing has been set yet. They don't even know who is going to make the headset.

While it will be exciting to watch and see where Google goes with this, I agree with kinjutsu11 as far as the designs go. I got so sick of seeing iPhone possibilities and "leaks" that I dry heaved everytime I saw a new one. :)

Wirelessly posted (Dell X50v and/or SE K790a: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320))

as long as it supports Band 4 UMTS, it'll be good for T3

I wonder what type of plans they will have...do you think it'll be free and just supported by advertising?

I think thats what the big G is trying to do. I also heard, again, an unconfirmed rumor, that HTC is Google's manufacturer, at least at first, and that they have been talking with all the carriers trying to make some kind of arrangement, and have gone the furthest with T-Mobile. Now this is simply the phone I'm talking about, the network is a whole 'nother story, and one thats still a while away, especially since the auction isn't til '08.

My guess is no considering how much money it will take to buy the 700 mhz which will go up for auction and setting up the networks across the U.S.

If anything, I have a feeling they might offer low prices for the plans, lower than T-mobile plans, and we will see Google ads on the phone.

I've also heard HTC was in talks with manufacturing the device.I guess that's the "touch"ish appearance in the photos.

Isn't T-Mobile gonna carry the g-phone just to rival the iphone?

At first, I thought the idea of a gPhone was crazy, but it makes good sense. Google's "main" product, search, is really only valuable as long as no one comes up with a better idea for providing results. They've already started to move into other areas, and this will be one more step in that direction.

was just reading an article on gphone about the ad based service paying for the phone service, and i think thats a great idea, ads on ur fone in exchange for free fone service, would be very benificial for someone on a very limited or low/fixed income ya know... id like a gphone it would be great i think...

Once again, it will NOT HAPPEN!

Google is just getting into cell phone business and it will be too much money to provide cell phone service for free even with ads.

If anything, they might provide the service for cheaper price plan than T-mobile using ads.

Mark my words. I guarantee that! You can quote me on that!
