Sidekick launches MySpace application | The Boy Genius Report (http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2007/09/20/sidekick-launches-myspace-application/#more-1889)
T-Mobile USA, Inc., Danger, Inc., and MySpace, the country’s most trafficked Web site, today announced a highly integrated MySpace Mobile experience for the T-Mobile® Sidekick®. The announcement marks the first partnership between MySpace with T-Mobile and Danger.
For you SK users, looks like MySpace just got easier to use. The application will be rolled out starting this week throughout the end of October, it won't be available to everyone immediately. But realtime MySpace editing, comments, picture uploads, etc, sounds pretty good!
Wonder if this will coincide with the Sidekick Slide.

It should be coming built in on the slide and 4, and will be available for download on ID's and 3's an a rollout that will be done within the next few weeks in parts, not all at once. Should be in the Download Catalog once it pops up in your area.

Yes, it will be rolled out in parts of the country on a multi-week rollout. So some people will have access to download the app before other parts. By the end of october, all 3 and ID users will be able to download the app.

hmmm... interesting... I thought they had a contract to provide the mobile version to AT&T only.
That's good but I think they should have it for all mobile phones.
But I guess it's all about money.

Might be a reason for me to get a Sidekick. Having Myspace on the go would be nice.

I don't think they have an agreement for a mySpace application. The text alerts and what not works with ATT only, the application kind of makes it a whole 'nother ball game, i think. Still can't explain with Helio though, but either way, this beats out what ATT gets, lol.
I'm tired of mySpace, at least on my phone.....

No need too... if you go to the site on your mobile phone, it should detect that you are using a mobile phone and will switch over the mobile version.

I don't think so.
If that's the case, I think they would have already made the application or at least make the site so the mobile phone can access it.
Haven't you noticed ads for AT&T on MySpace?
We will start to see ads for T-mobile Sidekick soon or it's probably up there now.

Yea ive notices the ads. Not sure if we'll see t-mobile/myspace specific advertisements, but time will tell. And it could have just been a timed exclusive with ATT which is why the app is available to Sidekick users now.
:) There are plenty of T-Mobile ads on MySpace.
and to think, some people thought MySpace was just a passing fad.

A cool application would be a YouTube one for SK.

if we did that we'd be turning T-Mobile into the next Helio and that could be a very good thing........but i have noticed that Myspace plays a lot of T-Mobile ads...........and i'm sure that the Myspace Mobile agreement with AT&T and Helio wasn't permanently exclusive........
