I have the Motorola PEBL and I'd like to figure out if I get charged for using AIM or not. I get 1000 text messages per month. Does that include AIM messages?

It depends. If you're using the AIM program that is pre-installed in your PEBL, then sending and receiving messages, log-in's, log-out's, etc, all will be counted as text messages. If you're using a 3rd-party Java AIM program, then it will count as data (not messages).

Chokaay is exactly right. There is an T-zones AIM portal you can use that uses data, but it doesn't work that well. If you have AIM on the pebl and didn't have to download anything, then it will charge you for everything.
But if you use Reporo or something like that, it just uses Data.

I had a Motorola V188 and with AIM I got charged for log ins and log outs as well as messages sent and received even though Tmo said i wouldn't.............when i switched to my Nokie 6103 i was only charged for messages sent and received........and no data charges either
