The ocean looks pretty cool, and the faster data speed would be nice, but it seems a little more expensive than T-Mobile for what you get...

I don't see any internet service for laptop/pda too
phone choice is limited to 4, and no BYOP
sorry

Ampd had a recipe for success, unfortunately they had piss poor management who squandered money.

i'm considering trying helio...ocean is sexy.
not now though...some point later on maybe...
pros: cool phones and services (3g, gps, ...) They seem to be out there trying new things, not just sticking to the basics, for example, buddy beacon, thats pretty neat.
cons: pricier than t-mo, CDMA
I like Helio. They're all-in plans are cheaper than AT&T and Verizon if you were planning on getting all that Helio offers anyway (if you're a "I just use phones for talking" kind of person, Helio is not for you) and I thought they were about on par with T-Mobile, although I know T-Mobile has dropped some prices lately.
The Ocean is nice, although I'm going to switch to the Mysto when it comes out - I'm looking for something a little smaller.

Helio can definitely be a great value, especially where you can get the $99 all in plan...I don't necessarily see them going the way of Amp'd, but only time will tell either way...
