My buddy is at the apple store right now picking one up. Articles seem to be popping up that they are already available in stores!!!

I think it'd be easier just to order it online, especially for those of us 70 miles from an Apple store ;) I wish I had the money, I would seriously think about buying one!

Online it says they aren't shipping til the 28th, i would rather just pick one up as there are 3 apple stores in my area! Sucks the closest one to you is so far away. If they open a store closer to you, go on grand opening, you get a chance to win a prize, and a free T-Shirt! They usually do some cool stuff on grand openings.

Cool, I will definitely have to make a grand opening someday, they sound pretty awesome! I don't think they'll ever put on here though, the biggest town in Mendocino County (pop.88,000) is Ukiah (about 8 miles south of me) at 20,000. The nearest one is in Santa Rosa, about 70 miles south of us, Santa Rosa has over 100,000, and it's county of Sonoma has 450,000.
Now, if I get the Amtrak Assistant Conductor's job in Oakland (they're hiring 8 in Oakland and 2 in Sac this session, and it I feel very confident I got it this time, woo hoo!), in the SF Bay Area I'll have a ton of them around, heck, I'll be right next to Apple HQ! Training starts October 1st, so I'll be moving down there pretty soon it looks like, though with the short notice they are doing I'll probably have to stay in a hotel for a bit until I can find an apartment.

Best Buy has them on their website also. Think I'm gonna pass. I have a 30gb Video and the wife wants the new nano video. Christmas is coming up and I've got time to save. haha

If that fails, then i'm going to Wellington this weekend. I'll keep ya posted! I was contemplating beteen the touch and the iPhone, but i want the 16GB touch, and a kick ass SE as my phone. Sorry iPhone, but i'm gettin a touch!

My girlfriend was eying up the black ipod nano. However, when I started quizzing her on what she would use it for, she decided that it wasn't that great anymore. For me, I have no use for a new ipod nano until my current one breaks.

So break it! Haha, :alol2: Well, i guess if you don't need video on it, or the extra memory, that would make sense. The touch is a totally different ball game, and i've wanted an iPhone since day one, but 16GB of storage would do me a lot nicer than 8GB.

YEP! Boca has them. Just got done playing with it and MAN, is that thing impressive! It's so thin, and is (pretty much) an iPhone without the phone. I'm picking one up tomorrow for sure! At work for the rest of the day and don't want to get caught up playing with an iPod touch in front of everyone, i'd distract everyone. lol
