I too have been thinking about creating something similar. Let me explore the possibilities of a T-MobileSignal Wiki tonight after salsa lessons. Ciao!

I think a wiki is a good idea. However, I'm not sure how well all are served well if multiple wikis are set up to do the same or similar thing. It's just my opinion but I think it's better for all the contributors to make their contributions to the wikis in wikipedia and on HowardForums rather than splinter it into separate wikis for each wireless forum. It seems to me that a single or a couple wikis should be enough since by the very nature of wikis it's a "contributive" thing and it's much better to be able to narrow down your need to go to multiple places to get whatever information you need. Just my opinion of course.

I think that if we could set something up that was not exactly a wiki, but we could let some members edit it, and it would supply new users with good info, as the Hofo Wiki does, it could be a success. We just need an interesting/do-able way to do it.

mediawiki.org is the software package that wikipedia uses...

in line with this suggestion, how about a WAP forum portal? http://wiforums.net/
