I need help making my Windows XP computer Windows Vista without having Windows Vista.:D:D
I am trying to make my computer look like Visa without having Vista. All I have so far is the pointer. It looks exactly like Vista. I need a theme. I cannot find one that is free. They either don't work or they are too complicated. Has anyone else done this or tried to do this? Can anyone help me find one? I think I just need a theme because the taskbar is the main thing that I want changed.
Thanks!

You will need to download StyleXP to apply this visual style.
After you have that software, go here for the Vista Theme
There's a preview so you can see what its like.
Vista XP Visual Styles Download Page themexp.org (http://www.themexp.org/preview.php?mid=179632&type=vs&view=&page=&cat=&name=Vista.zip)
You can also search for others, as there are a bunch of Vista variants. Post a screenshot once you have your Vista-XP computer up and running!

There is another one that can make your PC OS look like Vista. I have to find out the name though.

I think you should consider stardock's wincustomize....available at wincustomize.com
I've been using this for a long time, I found it off from a cnet review when Vista first rolled out and they have HUNDREDS of themes and they are heavily customizable and I love it...

I liked it too, I used it before I got XP, cuz I liked the look, but then I upgraded and don't need it anymore, but it was fun to fool around with!

The theme that kinjutsu linked to is the one I use on my XP partition using StyleXP. Now I mostly just boot into Vista, lol.

Well, I don't know. It might have came with the whole set, because I downloaded a lot to try to get it to look very real. Try downloading this. This is how I got the whole look. :)

People have all kinds of look alikes from that when using windowblinds but I have been unable to figure out how to do it without purchasing the full 50.00 utility.

Do you mean the icons on the desktop? You can put whatever you want on the desktop. The Vista look works with all web browsers when you are on the web.
Everything looks just like Vista.
Install at your own risk.
