T-Mobile just recently announced its new WebConnect Rocket USB Modem capable to reach speeds up to 21Mbps while Sprint already offers WiMax service for quite a while. PCWorld has compared both services in mayor cities like Las Vegas and Philadelphia.

About the WebConnect Rocket : T-Mobile’s first HSPA+ modem is even faster than the WiMAX devices we tested. But T-Mobile needs to provide a clear picture of their service plans and network buildout before we jump on board.

About Sprint Modem : If you’re connecting with Sprint, there’s no reason to get a 3G-only modem any more. Step up to a 3G/WiMAX combo with the U301—just don’t expect too much of WiMAX.

Google Nexus One can have some 3G issues but it runs the latest Android OS 2.1. Google has just announced the availability of its new Google Earth compatible only with Android 2.1 phones, like the Nexus One. With a 1GHz processor, advanced 3D graphics, and Android 2.1, Nexus One packs a lot of performance in a thin package. Ever since we got our hands on one, we have been putting it through its paces, drawing complex scenes of 3D imagery, terrain, roads, and other layers, and Nexus One never misses a beat.

In addition to Nexus One, Google Earth will be available in Android Market on most devices that have Android 2.1 or later versions. So as devices such as Droid get updated to Android 2.1, others will also be able to fly to the far reaches of the globe with a swipe of their finger.

Download Google Earth for Nexus One today by searching for Google Earth in the Android Market.

According with Motorola’s website, The Motorola Cliq is going to get the new Android 2.1 on Q2 2010, the DROID update will be rolling out really soon with no concrete date. Those with the DEXT will have to wait until Q3 2010 to get their update. A similar scenario applies to the Milestone with European Milestone owners receiving their update sometime in Q2 2010, while those in Latin America and Asia-Pacific must wait patiently for Motorola to evaluate the feasibility of an update.

This is a great improvement for the Motorola Cliq and great news for their owners. Thanks Motorola
