Blackberry 9300 Gemini details

By: T-Marco February 9th, 2009

Is this the most waiting Blackberry 3G by T-Mobile Costumers?. It’s been a while since we’ve had some stellar rumor mill info on upcoming device models! The word from the BoyGenius today is of the BlackBerry 9300, currently codenamed Gemini. The released date is going to be Q4 2009 or Q1 2010, a long waiting.

Here are some specifications:

* The screen will be larger than the BlackBerry 8900, and that will also include a higher resolution
* The CPU will also be beefed up. We’re not sure if this means it will include something more powerful than the Bold’s 624MHz processor or not, but we’d like to think so.
* The device is said to be silver (think BlackBerry 8830)
* The keyboard is a little more rounded than the BlackBerry 8900
* The Send/End keys are rounded instead of being flat on the sides
* Styling is not drastically different — it keeps with the 8900/Storm styling
* It of course rocks quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA (Hope 2100 and 1700)
* Wi-Fi and GPS was not confirmed, but we’d say there’s about a 99.99% chance ( and hope also UMA)
* Camera specs were not confirmed as well, but you can bet you’re looking at 3.2 megapixels or better

    I hope, looks like a nice promising device. But, the Blackberry Curve 8900, wasn’t bad itself. And without 3G (Wifi Connectivity) could be a plus, better battery life.

    I hope this comes to T-Mobile! If it does, I’m excited to add it to the upcoming phones list. It looks like it will be a great device

    If this is going to be T-Mobile’s 3G BlackBerry, there wil be no other device to compete with it. ALL of TIMobile’s BlackBerrys in the future and every BB they offer now will all feature their UMA & Wi-Fi technology. It is worth the wait if it doesn’t come until Q4 this year, as the 8900 Curve II is the best full QWERTY keypad in the market. With a much faster processor and with the EDGE (2.5G) network plus Wi-Fi for not only data but voice calling as well, the GPS, and 3.2 MP cam with auto-focus, the 8900 is a powerhouse. Fast, robust in features, an great battery life, I can totally wait until Q1 of 2010 if need be.
