Crap- I was right:

BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900 from T-Mobile
Wi-Fi and Mobile Calling
Internet and corporate e-mail
High Speed Internet
Curve™ 8900 from T-Mobile details ›compareSuggested retail $499.99
Instant discount -$200.00
Mail-in rebate -$100.00
$199.99

Be ready to dole out $299 and have to wait for up to 8 weeks for your rebate. I think they've shot themselves in the foot with this. I would have upgreaded today and signed a new contract at $149. $299 and waiting next to forever is just not an option right now.

I hope you're right- I've been told by customer service that the price is $299 w/a $100 mail in rebate for a final of $199 (4 different people gave me the same info last week). That was with a 2yr agreement. I will be VERY happy to be wrong. After being told that price, I had decided to wait a little before upgrading. This wasn't supposed to be specific to my account either- I truly hope you're right!
