Looks like one of the hackers over at the Xda-Developers forums got the shiny new HTC Hero firmware loaded on their HTC Dream (G1). This new firmware for the Android platform supports flash within the browser (crappy tower defense games, etc).
T-Mobile USA is getting ready to roll out its second Google phone, according to T-Mobile’s CTO Cole Brodman, who confirmed the timing in an interview with mocoNews. He said the follow-up device to the T-Mobile G1 will be out in early summer..( means now?) and details of the release would come later this month.
According with Cnet, Jason Hiner’s take on the Palm Pre, mentions 5 reasons why the G1 keyboard is better than the Plam Pre. It is going to be a software update? or Java enable?.
T-Mobile has stepped in, with the Samsung Gravity late last year, and more recently with the Samsung SGH-T349. Phones that are focus to texters and or called messaging phones. However, it doesn’t have the traditional full QWERTY keyboard. In fact, it’s the first messaging phone we’ve seen that has a 20-key keyboard similar to the BlackBerry Pearl’s SureType keypad.
