		<description>the loss of updates wouldn&#039;t be so bad if we could use the sd cards for apps and future releases.  i think google is trying to create is own version of customer dependence. </description>

iphones also have similar issues as this, it isn&#039;t just Android devices. Software is always being updated in labs or at the Android headquarters, while your HTC G1 handset is finalized months and months before it is even released and cannot be changed. 

That said, it is still annoying to G1 users that this is happening, but to move the Android line forward I think it is unavoidable.</description>
