T-Mobile to everyone: Open your Eyes..iPhone 4 is a 3G phone.

By: t-marco February 28th, 2011

T-Mobile keeps fighting and remind everyone that the iPhone 4 ( including AT&T and Verizon ) does not run on 4G networks.  T-Mobile has criticized the iPhone 4 for lacking the 4G radios. T-Mobile set up a dedicated website to highlight its HSPA+ smartphones and take a jab at the iPhone, which it notes is a 3G phone.

T-Mobile’s numbers come from a third-party speed comparison of networks in New York City and Atlanta. For the campaign, T-Mobile is pushing its lineup of so-called “4G” handsets, including the Galaxy S 4G, myTouch 4G, and Dell Streak 7.

Samsung Galaxy S 4G review by Cnet

By: t-marco February 28th, 2011

The new Samsung Galaxy S 4G was launched on feb 23th for 199 after 50 mail in rebate. We believe this is a little higher.  The Galaxy S 4G is very similar to the existing Samsung Vibrant, a popular Android phone. It has the same 1-GHz Cortex-A8 processor, runs Android 2.2 on a similar 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, and has the same 5-megapixel camera.

Cnet just review the Samsung Galaxy S 4G .

The good: The Samsung Galaxy S 4G has 4G connectivity, a front-facing camera for video calls, and a larger battery. Android 2.2 offers impressive data speeds and good call quality. Other highlights include a rich and vibrant Super AMOLED touch screen and a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording.

The bad: No camera flash. The Galaxy S 4G has less internal memory than the Vibrant. There was some slight sluggishness with some tasks.

The bottom line: The Samsung Galaxy S 4G is a fantastic Android smartphone for T-Mobile customers, delivering fast data speeds and other improvements, but Vibrant owners should be fine holding off for now.
