T-Mobile launches Blackberry Bold 9780 running OS 6.0

Today, T-Mobile and RIM just launched the new and first Blackberry (for T-MO) running the latest OS 6.0, the Blackberry Bold 9780. This a refresh of the original Bold 9700. It will feature an optical trackpad, QWERTY keyboard, WebKit-based browser, 5 megapixel camera, 3G / WiFi, , UMA / WiFi calling.It also packs GPS and Bluetooth for navigation and headsets, respectively. It will support microSD cards up to 32GB for media and content storage.

T-Mobile, together with AT&T and Verizon launch mobile commerce network, ISIS

AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless today announced the formation of a joint venture chartered with building ISIS™, a national mobile commerce network that aims to fundamentally transform how people shop, pay and save.

According to the companies, the new system will revolutionize payments, utilizing short-range, high frequency near-field communication (NFC) technology to engage in encrypted payment transfers at short distances.

How It Works

The new venture will enable contactless mobile payment and commerce services using near-field communication technology. NFC uses short-range, high frequency wireless technology to enable the encrypted exchange of information between devices at a short distance. The new system is being designed and built to include strong security and privacy safeguards.

Nexus S will be out in “A few Weeks” running Android 2.3, according with Eric Schmidt

Google CEO Eric Schmidt showed off what looks like the Nexus S and said the next version of Android, Gingerbread, will focus on mobile payments with support for Near-Field Communication. As you can see, thanks to engadget for the pics, the new Nexus S is running under T-Mobile Network. We assumed that the new Google phone made by Samsung, will be land really soon and running the latest OS. 2.3.

Bluetooth update for Samsung Vibrant ready for Android 2.2 Froyo

Bluetooth.org has just published a new Bluetooth update for the Samsung Vibrant. Bluetooth.org refers the update for the “NEW SGH-T959″mentioning the new software called “T959UVJJ-2″ version 2. Possibly this is the Bluetooth update Vibrant running Android 2.2. As you know Samsung has promised Froyo for the USA version of its Galaxy S by the end of 2010. we are waiting so bad for Froyo not only for the Vibrant, but also for the Captivate.. btw, I have one.

Overclocked increses T-Mobile G2 processor up to 1.9Ghz

When the T-Mobile G2 came out, it packed good features, like HSPA+. However, the processor was a shame, only 800 GHz.  The last time, the G2 got Overclocked up to 1.4 GHz, now, thanks always to the team of XDA Developers, a user could Overclocked the G2 up to 1.9 GHz. According with XDA, the processor not only increased more than 100% capacity, but also it is stable reaching 2700 and 2800 in Quadrant and 55-60 in Linpack.

Samsung Google Nexus S specifications reveled

An internal BestBuy product listing reveled some official specifications about the new Google phone, The Nexus S phone.

EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 and HSUPA 900/1700/2100 bands are supported for T-Mobile, HSPDA / HSUPA up to 5.76mbps in uplink and 7.2 in downlink speeds. 5MP camera and a 1500 mAh battery.

T-Mobile just announced new promotional plans, including voice and data.

Even More Promotional Plans

The new Even More Promotional Plans are:

  2. Even More® Family Plan 3,000 Talk + Text + Web Plan for $149.99/month.

These new Even More Promotional Plans will offer unlimited text, unlimited 4G Web, unlimited T-Mobile to T-Mobile and unlimited Nights and Weekends, in addition to the included 1,500 (Individual) and 3,000 (Family) Whenever minutes®.  For the same $79.99 price point at AT&T and Verizon, customers only get 900 Whenever minutes and unlimited text.1 These new plans require a two-year contract and will only be available for a limited time.

Samsung Flagship, a Gingerbread Android phone coming early 2011

Engadget got new leaked information about a new Android phone made by Samsung running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It will feature an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p video capture, 14.4Mbps HSPA, Bluetooth 3.0, a 1.2GHz core of some sort, and 16GB of internal storage .

Here some specifications:

  • 4.3 or 4.5-inch Super-AMOLED (described as Super-AMOLED 2)
  • 8 MP with Auto-focus and LED flash
  • 1.2 GHz processor
  • Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
  • 1080p video capture and playback
  • Described as a ‘universal e-book reader’
  • 14.4Mbps HSDPA / 5.76Mbps HSUPA
