Service Outages reported in Florida

Update: All issues seem to have been fixed by T-Mobile within the first few hours after being reported.

We’re seeing a large amount of reports of T-Mobile’s service being down in Florida right now. T-Mobile Customer Service has not commented on the issue, besides to state that they are of course looking into it immediatly, and that service will be restored as soon as possible.

To help out others in the Florida area that may be without service, let us know in the comments what part of Flordia you live in, and whether you do or do not have service.

Outages were confirmed in: Miramar and Miami. As of 6:00 AM on July 29th, no issues have been reported and service has returned to normal.

3 New Cities get T-Mobile 3G

Ladies and Gentleman, today is a big day for T-Mobile users. Today we welcome three new cities into our T-Mobile 3G Family. Witchita, Kansas and Tacoma, Washington both had their 3G switches flipped late last night. For those that want to stay up to date on 3G news and discussion, check out our 3G forum here! Earlier today, our friends in Columbus, Georgia had their 3G flipped on and can now receive T-Mobile’s 3G speeds on their 3G enabled devices. Speeds that have tested in as the U.S.’s 2nd fasted 3G speeds! Stay tuned for some great Blackberry news heading your way!

Sidekick LX 2009 Customers get Microsoft Exchange E-mail Support

Less than an hour ago T-Mobile USA announced that they now support Exchange E-mail services on the Sidekick LX 2009. Announced via Twitter and their forums, T-Mobile stated:

  • “A highly-anticipated first for Sidekick, Sidekick Sync on the Sidekick LX ’09 will support real time push email, attachment viewing, full sync capabilities, full read and respond functionality and configurable sync schedules.  In addition to email, the application will sync with contacts from a corporate directory, along with full sync capabilities with an Exchange calendar and meeting/event reminders.”

As expected, today T-Mobile and RIM announced the new Blackberry 8520, a new and improve model of the Curve Series. After the FCC passed the 8520 and a few shots of the New Curve 8520 here and here; the coming of the new Blackberry Curve 8520 was imminent.

Blackberry 8520 Hitting T-Mobile Shelves on August 5th

We had our suspicions that the Blackberry 8520 (Gemini) would be launching on August 5th, and with our newest screenshot surfacing, we can’t help but to confirm that 12 days from the time this is posted, you will be able to pick up your updated version of the Blackberry Curve. With Wifi, a new Optical Track Ball, 3.5mm Headset Jack, QWERTY keyboard, and of course so much more, the Curve 8520 will be an excellent entry level Blackberry for those who “need to balance work and life, while effortlessly staying connected to those who matter most.”

A new slider phone just passed FCC few days ago for T-Mobile USA. In addition, we were the first one to tell you, this would have 3G bands. Now we got a few pictures of the new Samsung T659, codename Scarlet.

RadioShack will sell T-Mobile phones

Beginning later this summer, RadioShack will begin selling T-Mobile’s devices and services at more than 4,000 locations around the country. T-Mobile said that the agreement nearly doubles the number of non-T-Mobile stores selling its goods and services.
