The new well designed Sanyo Katana Eclipse just landed today at FCC website. With 3 music buttons on front, The Eclipse will provide a decent mp3 performance. It will provide a microSD memory slot, a 3.5mm jack plug, Bluetooth and EDVO.
The Sprint Sanyo Katana Eclipse is also said to feature: GPS, support for Sprint TV, 2 megapixel camera, built with some quality materials and Sprint Navigation . The rest of details are pretty sparse. We’ll of course update you on the new Sprint Sanyo Katana Eclipse soon.
As we reported before, The Motorola Zn5 build in WiFi, a 5 megapixel camera, mp3, and UMA support, is coming to T-Mobile on Q4 of 2008. There are other phones coming too, like the Blackberry 9100 (kickstart), Shadow II, etc. Also we mentioned the Nokia E series with 3G support long time ago and they are rumored to be available on Q4 2008 or Q1 2009. The Sony Ericsson TM506, that we also found it, is coming when the 3G will be up. Our friends from TMoNews mentioned that will be on Oct 1th 2008. We have been waiting for so long and we are pretty sure about some new sunny days are coming to our favorite American carrier. For more information about upcoming phones check our forums.
There were rumors about Sony Ericsson announcing 3 new phones, finally this is confirmed. Sony Ericsson just announced that on July 22 will introduce 3 new devices celebrating its 3 anniversary of Walkman line phones. (W302, W595 and W902). There are rumors also that the Alicia will be cancelled. So, seems that we need to wait until that day to see what is coming out.
We are getting very familiar of seeing T-Mobile USA lauching new phones as a Pre-Paid service, and one good example is the Nokia 1680. This new phone is expected to be launched July 2008. The 1680 is the upgrade of the Nokia 2610, and it comes with basic GPRS (dual band) and a VGA camera. More information about upcoming phones for T-Mobile here

If you’ve been craving a new Sidekick but the Sidekick LX is just a bit too out of your league, July 30th will be your lucky day. T-Mobile’s new Sidekick, rumored to be the “Gekko,” has an official launch date and name: the Sidekick 2008. Yeah, 2008 hopefully they’ll discontinue it by 2009.
Jokes aside, the 2008 does look nice. Featuring quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera, 2.6″ WQVGA screen, video recording, stereo bluetooth (A2DP included), and “Standard Sidekick Features,” the Sidekick isn’t breaking from it’s heritage much at all. Also included is a new, “PC-like” browser to kinda-sorta compete with the iPhone, but we won’t go in that direction. Although the biggest news is the ability to create your own “shells” (faceplates) so you won’t have to buy a chintzy skin to customize it.
No price has been announced, but seeing as it’s a entry-level phone, we’re assuming anywhere from $99.99 to $149.99.
