T-Mobile has gotten around to releasing two WiFi phones, both of which are able to do calls over WiFi. They aren’t the flashiest of phones, but they are sleek in my opinion. Plus, who said simplicity wasn’t a blessing?
The Nokia 6301 is your standard Nokia candybar phone with a 2.0 megapixel camera, microSD slot to store your music, videos, and pictures, and stereo Bluetooth to play your media back through wirelessly. Coming in at 1.7×4.2×0.5 inches, it’s a thin little bugger, and that thinness has to come at a price; the rated talk time is an abysmal 3.5 hours. The 6301 comes in at $179.99 but includes a $50 instant rebate and a $50 mail-in rebate to bring it down to a pleasing $79.99 on a two-year contract.
The Samsung t339, on the otherhand, is a clamshell model that also includes stereo bluetooth along with a microSD slot, but has a 1.3 megapixel camera instead. It’s also slightly thicker at .8 inches, but has a rated talk time of 6 hours. The t339 is rated at $159.99 but includes a $110 instant rebate to bring it down to a more wallet-friendly $49.99.
Both models are available now.
